CONTINUING
EDUCATION
Do
you want to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to your profession?
Ever thought of earning an NAHB designation as a way to do so?
February is National Designation month.
Earning
a designation allows NAHB members to hone their business skills and
convey superior training, practical experience and in-depth knowledge to
potential clients. Additionally
designation holders can take advantage of valuable networking
opportunities throughout their enrollment, working closely with expert
instructors and other professionals both within their field and outside
their specific areas of expertise.
As part of National Designation Month, NAHB also will step up
efforts to educate the public about the value of selecting builders who
hold a designation, so your hard work and dedication will mean even more
when it comes to your bottom line.
Throughout
the month of February, builders across the nation can also take
advantage of the many special events the NAHB University of Housing is
hosting to celebrate continuing education and recognize designation
holders in the building industry.

THE
NEW AMERICAN HOME
Each
year, the NAHB builds a house in its International
Builders Show convention city to showcase "state-of
the-art" home-building techniques and materials. The
home spotlights the newest trends in housing design,
construction and decor. The Energy Star rated home is
set to be the first "green" home built through The New
American Home program since it began in 1984. The
certification verifies that the house uses
environmentally sensitive materials and principles in its
construction, and that it is energy efficient. You can
